A BIT ABOUT ME:

Before we get into the presentation part, I thought I would tell you a bit about myself.
My name is Robyn Gotch, and while originally from Wisconsin, I have called Texas my home for over a decade.  I LOVE Texas!  This is an amazing place to nurture creativity.
I am an award-winning quilt creator and long-arm quilter. Over the years, I have created hundreds of custom quilts. Some were commissions, some gifts and many remain in my possession.
My quilting adventures started when a friend from our bowling league shared her quilts with me. I could not believe something so beautiful could also be so functional. I was hooked.
This friendship sparked a life-long journey of creation. Most recently, I have added a separate building dedicated to Quilting. This is a dedicated space that allows for freedom of thought and movement. From time to time I have sew days for small groups. It is great to share.

Your Long-arm Quilter and You

Are you the type of person that has more finished tops than finished quilts?  Not everyone is cut out for long-arm quilting, and not every quilt can easily be finished on a domestic machine.

Whether you routinely have quilts finished by a long-arm quilter or are considering your first, there are many things to consider.

In this presentation, I provide information from BOTH perspectives.  Having a great long-arm quilter can be akin to finding the right hairdresser.

Trusting someone to finish your beloved quilt top is no easy thing.

As always, there are quilts to see and examples of some of the elements I discuss.

The base price for this presentation is $300. Depending on your location, travel and lodging may apply.

Great Big Flowers Close 2

From Kits to Custom

If you have seen this presentation before, you are in for a whole new experience!

This is a very well-received trunk show/presentation that focuses on the way I approach quilting.  As many know, I tend to like doing things my own way, so why not be unique? The focus of this presentation is on all the fun ways to put your own stamp on a project, or start from scratch and do a one-of-a-kind quilt. It is not as hard as you think.

The presentation includes dozens of quilts that tell stories and act as examples of ways to produce custom projects. Each year, new quilts are added.

Base price for this presentation is $300. Depending on your location travel and lodging may apply.

Renaissance meets Quilting

Ever think to yourself “I wonder what else I could do besides quilts, bags and mug rugs”?  I did too!

Then I had the idea to combine two of my loves – Sewing and Quilting.  Add to that my love for Renaissance Fairs and you can imagine how much fun I am having.

This presentation provides for a little break from the normal Trunk Show.  For approximately an hour, I will show off my custom gown creations, doublets, and custom-quilted designs.

Are you looking for an entertaining evening that is a bit outside the norm?  Let’s have some fun!

The base price for this presentation is $300. Depending on your location, travel and lodging may apply.

Civil War

21st Century Quilting

Have you ever wondered if you take technology for granted?  Well, this presentation looks at how quilting has changed over time.  You may be surprised just how much has changed within your own lifetime.

I also discuss using the almost deafening amount of information available to us daily and how it can help us to enjoy our quilting journey.  As with all my presentations, I show lots of quilts to provide examples but keep in mind I will need a way to deliver much of my speech electronically. A multimedia setup is required.

The base price for this presentation is $300. Depending on your location, travel and lodging may apply.

NOTE: I am considering offering this presentation online to guilds as well and would like feedback.

I just wanted to drop you a note letting you know how much we all enjoyed you while visiting our guild 7/11/22.
Robyn, your creativity and talent is incredible!
You have a fabulous stage presence and can really work a room with your knowledge and smile!
And OH how we loved your renaissance presentation!!
Thanks again for blessing us with your love of quilting!

Online Presentations

After much thought, I have been considering offering 21ST Century Quilting as an online presentation. Currently, I am surveying guilds to see if this is something that would be of interest to them.

I currently offer a variety of presentations to quilt guilds. Each has a specific focus.  Also, as time goes by, these are refreshed with new projects and information.

The base price for presentations is $300. Depending on your location, travel and lodging may apply. Duration is approximately 1 hour each.

Below you will see more information on each program. If you have questions, feel free to give me a holler!
