I made a promise to myself this year. I would not wait till the last minute or put off projects for myself. Thanksgiving 2022 provided me with an opportunity for decorating.
Recently, I purchased a little quilt hanger that sits on our entry table. For this project, I made a mini quilt and wall hanging.

Mini Quilt Inspiration
I began with the mini quilt and utilized some custom embroidery. I used some fun ribbon to hang the mini and quilted it with diagonal lines on my domestic machine.

I think that double batting may have made for a straighter hang and will do that next time.
Thanksgiving Wall Quilt
During a visit to Sandy’s Quilt Shop in Joshua, TX, I found this delightful panel. It had a wonderful wood chair, flowers, leaves, birds, and other fall elements. I fell in love.
Back at the Bat Cave, I discovered that there was enough fabric from the mini quilt to make a perfect border. I hated to cut this fabric up previously and was glad I saved it.
E2E Quiting
Fall Foliage edge to edge seemed perfect for this quilt and provided a LOT of texture.

I used leather glide thread to complete the look.

I was finished in time for Thanksgiving and so happy with the coordinating effect.
Do you make projects just in time for a holiday?
