Texas Summer Gardens

Flag coleus
I enjoy taking photos of my Summer gardens as they bloom and mature. As many of you know, I was a Master Gardener in Wisconsin – not so much in Texas!

For the past few years, I have struggled to find the right plants and timing so that I could enjoy the outdoors a bit more.

Luckily, I have had some recent successes with my plantings and am eager to add more garden spots.

The critters of our little farm

Our little hobby farm can’t be complete without images of Miss Daisy in and out of her “condo”

Mama Mockingbird hatched some beautiful babies in my one trellis flower pot holder as baby bunnies play in the side field.

All the pretty flowers

These images below showcase my Summer Garden complete with water feature, and foliage. It was 103 degrees F today, but my flowers look amazing. This is because of a combination of diligent watering and plant placement.

If this is what my Summer gardens look like, I can’t wait to see what Fall brings! One thing is for sure, I will be doing pre-emergent treatments from now on. The Dallas Grass and burrs make it very difficult on the puppies and my new mower – Scooter!

No matter what, my American Flag flies over our property with pride.
