High-impact quilts are so much fun. Red Dot Explosion is full of impact. Large red dot fabric and solid red sometimes are enough.Â
This is number 3 in the Cousin Quilt Lineup! My dear cousin Jean got this one. It is as Crazy as she is 🙂 You can see this in the image she shared with me.
This two-color quilt is pretty simple. Sometimes simple is the right choice.
I agonized a bit about the edge-to-edge quilting on this one and finally decided on the obvious choice – hearts.
This pattern looks so nice and does the job but isn’t too.
Up close, the pattern seems to dance across the quilt. In addition, I chose white glide thread which works so well.
The backing fabric is so pretty. I also used it for the binding and it was a great choice. Red and white swirls unite the two colors but do not show off the quilting. Sometimes that happens but it’s ok.
