Change is inevitable, and sometimes change is hard. Moving into a new home can be a stressful time. Luckily, there are ways to ease the transition of moving by bringing along old memories and creating new ones. To this end, new home quilt was created by my friend, Margret, to help with those new memories.

The vintage-look fabrics and beautiful piecing provide a timeless look and feel for this amazing quilt. It is not little either! Almost a king-sized, this quilt is made to be enjoyed for many years to come.
Edge to Edge Quilting for New Home Quilt
Edge to Edge Quilting can add another dimension to the finished product. Sometimes less is more. The pattern chose for this was a Meander. I have many amazing E2E patterns on my website. If you are looking for something specific, check out Urban Elementz. Sometimes a quilt would benefit from something special and this is a good place to start.

This basic pattern does a great job of finishing off the quilt. For instance, meander does not take away from the amazing fabrics and pattern. This is a simple pattern that has the appropriate amount of impact. In addition, consider a simple design like this and the focus will be on the quilt.

Other quilts that make a house a home
Over the years, I have created quilts that are right at home – at home. Check out the ones below or do a search on the main page for other blog posts that focus on home-style quilts.
Rainbow Time is a fun quilt made from rainbow batik fabrics. This quilt resides in our daughter’s room. She fell in love with all the colors..
An Elegant Affair is a log cabin block arrangement that was gifted to a dear friend. I like this so much that I may have to make another and this one I would keep for myself!

I never did record this quilt in blog format, and maybe I should. King Knight was designed for our King size bed. It looks amazing in our Medieval inspired retreat. Loki approves of the design too!
Ultimately, every home should have at least one, comfy quilt.
