History, so many quilts have amazing histories. Not sure what to really call this quilt. So I am going to name it after the instructor that inspired it: Mildred Johnson. Here is how the conversation started:
Hi Robyn. I have this quilt top that I made years ago when an elderly woman was teaching me how to quilt. She passed away before we finished it. I was wondering if you could put a back on it and quilt it for me.

When the top arrived, I took some time to look it over. At first, I didn’t know it was hand-pieced. The seams were straight and crisp and even though this is a simple pattern, it is done right.
Here is what Shelley had to say about that:
I want you to know that Mildred insisted it be hand pieced. And trust me she was hard on me and that was the end result. Thank you for the compliment. If she didn't like my hand stitching she would make me start over.

In today’s world, it is refreshing to see someone learning from another. This quilt is proof that there is much the older generation can teach the young.
E2E Quilting
Shelley also loves Daisies, so that is the E2E design she chose – Daisies!
Such a perfect motif to complete this amazing quilt.
